This teaching is taken out of the Lion of Judah series. When Jesus comes back as the lion of the tribe of Judah, scripture says ‘His eyes are darker than wine and he is the all consuming fire’. When the baptism of fire comes, you are either going to be like the wise virgins or the foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-13). We must be prepared because he will come at an hour we do not expect. However, the bridegroom is running late and we are wondering, where are you Jesus? We are troubled by world events. We see what is happening in the middle east and we see how the church is being persecuted. Where are you Jesus? Come Lord! Maranatha! When he comes, he is the all consuming fire. The lamps are made of clay and in the clay is the oil. The oil is the Holy Spirit. The wick is your life, immersed in the Holy Spirit. If the wick is black it will not burn. In order to burn the lamp must be filled with oil and black part of the wick cut off so there is a clean edge. The trimming of the wick is our sin, which needs to be cut off and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
